After our shirasu don lunch, we walked along komachi-dori for gift shopping. I had spotted a sweet potato sweets shop when we headed to the restaurant and immediately stepped in the second time we passed. They had a few sweet potato based snacks and sweets as well as soft serve. I debated about the matcha and purple sweet potato twist but decided on only purple sweet potato. And of course it was delicious!

Unfortunately, Kamakura is a popular field trip destination so we were walking along the narrow street with a bunch of middle schoolers and high schoolers. We managed to buy a few food gifts to bring home though. They say Kamakura is kind of like Kyoto but I think my foodie partner and I preferred Kyoto much more. We ended up not staying very long after the gift shopping and headed back to Tokyo.
